    Munich Olympic Coin Ring

I had this 1972  silver (.625) Munich Olympic Deutsche 10 mark coin for many years and I never cared so much for it. IMHO it is not a very nice coin.  After close examination of this coin I saw a potential to turn it into a nice silver ring.  I was hoping to keep this nice detail on the smooth edge of the coin with Latin inscription “FORTIVS  CITIVS ALTIVS”.  I think it worked well.  Also the way I “wrapped” this coin around my mandrel with this nice smooth edge created an illusion of a silver in-lay and it looks awesome. I almost see this Art Deco pattern / design now when it’s finished. Judge it for yourself and follow my pics below for a quick pictorial.  I hope you enjoy it.   BTW, this 1972 Olympic coin ring is for sale in online shop.

1946 Tunisia 5 Francs coin ring

Wow, this was not an easy ring  to make.  Thickness of the coin is 2.28 mm so it took me some time to punch the hole in it.  Next time will use a drill I think.  Very nice coin and the design looks awesome.  I have made one ring in size 13 so I should be posting it in my shop very soon.  Have a look at some pictures of the coin before I turned it into a coin ring.  It was minted only in 1946 in Paris.  Around 10 million were minted.  Size of the coin is approximately 31 mm and it was made from Aluminiim-bronze.  It is a heavy coin at 12.20 grams.  It was demonized in 1956.

Polished Australian Penny ring and Silver Palestine Coin Ring

I made both of them for a client as a custom order.  I like the high polish on the Australian copper penny ring.  I can polish any silver, copper, brass etc ring to look the same or similar.  If you see a ring in my shop with old darken patina or antique finish but would like to have it polish to a mirror finish, please make sure you let me know with your order.  It’s free of charge of course.
